This massive waterfall features a total drop of 225 meters. It is situated along the route of the Flåm Line (Flåmsbana) railway, which stops directly at the site. A dedicated viewing platform is located adjacent to the tracks, providing a close-up perspective of the falling water.
During the summer season, the site hosts traditional performances featuring dancers dressed as the legendary Huldra, a creature from Scandinavian folklore. These performances are timed to coincide with the arrival of trains.
The railway stop typically lasts for five minutes, allowing for photography and viewing from the platform. The site is a prominent landmark within the region's natural landscape and is accessible exclusively by rail.
