This Gothic fortification tower was constructed after 1310 as a component of the city's defensive walls. The structure serves as a historical landmark and is recognized as a point of interest along the Cyril and Methodius Route.
Since 1957, the tower has functioned as a memorial to the artist Otakar Štáfl. The interior contains a collection of his sculptures and artistic works that document the life of Karel Havlíček Borovský.
