Cheb Museum

The museum is housed in the historic Pachelbel House, the site where the military commander and politician Albrecht von Wallenstein was murdered in 1634. As one of the oldest regional institutions of its kind in Bohemia, it preserves the cultural heritage and history of the region through extensive collections and manages several local branches.

Permanent exhibitions cover a wide range of topics, including archaeology, ethnography, and traditional folk culture. Specific displays focus on the life of Albrecht von Wallenstein, a Bohemian military leader who fought on the Catholic side during the Thirty Years' War, as well as the architectural development and history of the surrounding area. The institution also hosts temporary exhibitions and is open to the public.
