Zubštejn Castle Ruins

Originally founded in the 13th century, with historical records dating back to 1314, this site served as a defensive stronghold for the Lords of Pernstein. The structure is a significant example of medieval architecture and fortification, once playing a role in the protection of the surrounding region. It is officially designated as a protected cultural monument.

The site contains substantial remains of its original palace, keep, and castle walls. A restored access bridge provides entry to the ruins, which also feature a historical well and the remnants of several towers. Situated within the Nedvědická vrchovina highlands, the location offers views of the Žďárské vrchy and the Svratka mountains. The ruins are accessible to the public and are situated along local hiking and cycling routes.
