The Transfagarasan Highway, known as The Great Dragon or Manole's Dream, connects Muntenia with Transylvania and is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and engineering feats. Visitors to the viewpoint can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and several points of interest along the route.
Parking is available at the top of the pass and along the road at designated stops, with a small fee applied at the top. The road and viewpoint are seasonally open, generally fully accessible from July 1 to October 20, though closures can occur due to adverse weather. Traffic is allowed daily between 07:00 and 21:00 starting from June 5, 2025, but weather-dependent closures are possible.
Access to the viewpoint is possible from the north via DN 1 between Sibiu and Brasov, or from the south via Pitesti and Curtea de Arges. Public transportation options are available with timetable information provided by local services.
