This historic park dates back to the 16th century, with significant expansions and improvements occurring in the mid-17th century under Kryštof Bohumír Harant. During this period, various species of plants and trees were introduced alongside the installation of fountains.
The grounds are situated behind the castle building which houses the Krkonoše Museum. The area serves as a space for relaxation and features a monument dedicated to the geologist František Pošepný.
