The structure was established on 13th-century foundations and saw significant development during the 16th and 17th centuries. It is characterized by a U-shaped plan and includes a notable oval tower equipped with machicolations, as well as a square tower that houses a spiral staircase. The castle's facades and roofs have been recognized as a historical monument since 1976.

A section of the eastern facade has functioned as a restaurant since 2008. The property serves as a preserved example of regional heritage.
