Vysočina Museum Jihlava

The museum is a regional research institution housed in historic buildings. It manages diverse collections focused on the history and nature of the Vysočina region, ranging from medieval history and mining to the natural history of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The institution is the largest of its kind in the region and is open to the public.

A permanent exhibition titled Young Gustav Mahler and Jihlava explores the formative years of composer Gustav Mahler. This display provides insights into his early musical development and the multicultural atmosphere of the city during the 19th century. The museum also organizes various thematic exhibitions throughout the year.
