This museum contains the biggest collection of 14th to 18th-century art native to this city in the world. Among others, you will get to see the masterpieces by Hiernoymus Bosch, Carpaccio, Titian, da Vinci, Giovanni Bellini and Francesco Guardi. It is a fascinating wonderland for anyone who is interested in Venetian artists.
The collection was moved to this building from Santa Maria della Carità convent by Napoleon in 1807 and ten years later, the art gallery first opened to the public.
There are both permanent and temporary exhibitions, so no two visits will be the same. It's located only about a minute of walking away from the waterbus stop Accademia (lines 1 and 2).
