Airvault is a commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France. It is located on the River Thouet.
The inhabitants of Airvault are the Airvaudais and the Airvaudaises.
On 1 January 2019, the former commune of Tessonnière was merged into Airvault.
