Made of mud bricks, this fortified village is a prime example of the traditional ksars and the Moroccan architecture. There are some merchant houses located inside the walls, but very few people still live here.
Since 1987, the village has been listed as a UNESCO site. Many movies have been filmed here and the village was also used in the TV series Game of Thrones.
