Athenian Treasury

This treasury, built entirely of Parian marble, was constructed approximately in the 5th century BC. It used to serve as a housing place for dedications and offerings made to the Delphi oracle. This ancient building is decorated with a number of metopes depicting mythological figures of Herakles and Theseus.
