This mosque is a unique sight, blending two distinct architectural styles seamlessly together. Although it was built in traditional Thai historical style, the building hides a Muslim place of worship inside. It stands as an example of the variety and religious plurality of Thai society. It is also the only mosque far and wide to be built without the typical dome-shaped roof.
The mosque was opened to the faithful in the 18th century, which makes it one of the oldest mosques in Bangkok. It features 30 pillars to remind the visitors of Koran the holy book of Muslims, which has the same number of chapters.
Avoid revealing clothing, as the mosque still serves as a place of worship.
