Located 12 km southwest of the centre of Barcelona, El Prat is the main airport of Catalonia and the second largest and busiest airport in Spain.
The airport has two terminals, Terminal T1 and Terminal T2, connected by a free shuttle bus. While Terminal T1 serves both Schengen and non-Schengen flights, Terminal T2 is used primarily by low-cost airlines and is further divided into three sections, T2A, T2B and T2C.
