The existence of this beautiful fountain dates back to the end of the 19th century (the construction was finished in 1864). It is located by the Lake and it is one of the most often visited places of Central Park (and therefore it might get quite crowded, especially on sunny days) and also one of its best known.
The focal point of the fountain is a bronze statue of an angel by Emma Stebbins. Don't hesitate to toss a coin and make a wish.
You may remember the fountain from several films (e.g. Enchanted, Avengers or Home Alone 2: Lost in New York).
Open the whole year round.
