This is definitely the trademark sight of Dresden. The beautiful architecture, its imposing dome, the charming interior - it will simply take your breath away. There are many free information materials (including ones designed for children) to get here and guided tours are also offered free of charge.
It is not as old as it looks though. This impressive church was re-opened only a few years ago after being destroyed during World War II firebombing. For many years, its ruins were left alone as a reminder of the WWII destruction.
It is not just a sight but also an active church so respectful behaviour is expected.
Weekends: depends on events, informing in advance is strongly recommended.
Guided tours are also available, however, it is necessary to contact the church's visitor service in advance - please, refer to the official website for detailed information.
Entrance to the church is free.
