Church of San Stae

Local nameChiesa di San Stae
LocationSanta Croce, Venice, Italy

The very first church occupying this spot was built in the 10th century. The one you can visit today was constructed by the end of the 17th century though. It is situated on the bank of Grand Canal and therefore one of the best ways to admire the beautiful facade is while sitting in the gondola. Inside the church, you can admire many works of renowned Italian baroque artists.
