Dzhankoy

Dzhankoi or Jankoy is a town of regional significance in the north of the Crimea. It also serves as administrative centre of Dzhankoi Raion although it is not a part of the raion. Population: 38,622.The name Dzhankoi means "new village": canköy < cañı köy. But it is often translated into as "spirit-village" -Canköy.

In the city there are many types of industrial factories, some of which are: automobile, reinforced concrete, fabric, meat, and others. Dzhankoi also contains professional technical schools.
