Known as the Wiener Riesenrad, this Ferris wheel is one of the most popular attractions in Vienna, offering a superb view of the city from its top. Being almost 65 metres tall, it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world up until 1985.

Riesenrad appeared in a number of films and literary works including a James Bond movie and Simon Mawer's The Glass Room.
