This venue shows traditional arts such as ikebana, Kyo-mai dance, tea ceremony, playing on Koto (a traditional instrument), Gagaku Court Music, Kyogen Theatre (portraying life in a comical way) or Bunraku puppet theatre.
It provides the introduction to Japanese culture for people who don't know much about it, but some parts of it (like the Kyogen Theatre) are only spoken in Japanese.
Although not very authentic (because it's short), it's fairly cheap and gives you a little bit of everything. Worth a visit if you're tight on money, but you still want to know more about Japanese practices.
It's about a 6-minute walk away from the Gion-Shijo metro station, Keithan line.
Performance time: daily at 6 pm and 7 pm.
