The beauty of this waterfall is simply stunning and something you will remember for life. Gullfoss is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. No wonder, as the views of the untouched nature around are surreal. If you are lucky and come on a sunny day, you will see a huge rainbow over the falls.
Once, there were attempts to build a power plant on the river but, fortunately, they failed and this natural wonder is now protected.
Only a 3-minute walk from the waterfall there is Gullfoss Kaffi, serving anything from soups and salads to cakes.
