Hakkâri, formerly known as Julamerk, is a city and the seat of Hakkâri District in the Hakkâri Province of Turkey. The city is populated by Kurds and had a population of 60,098 in 2022.It is located about 40 kilometres from the Iraq–Turkey border, but the distance to the nearest Iraqi border crossing by road is about 270 km.
