Houska Castle

Local nameHouska
LocationBlatce, Czechia

Belonging to the oldest preserved buildings in the country, this seemingly peaceful Gothic castle is entangled in mystery. It was supposedly built over a deep abyss leading to Hell itself - and the main purpose of the castle was to guard the exit so that nothing could get out. We can only ponder what was supposed to be guarded - they say that there are also endless underground passages where non-human corpses can be found. If you want to sleep over at the castle, be wary: a spectre of a faceless monk is safeguarding the place.
