Itō is a city located on the eastern shore of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. As of 31 July 2019, the city had an estimated population of 68,773 in 36,717 households and a population density of 550 persons per km². The total area was 124.13 square kilometres.
