Kanazawa Castle

Local name金沢城
LocationKanazawa, Japan

This beautiful castle is surrounded by extensive gardens which make for a nice walk. You can notice the castle’s silverish roof tiles which are made of lead. It is not for the decorative purposes but for the protection of the castle, because the tiles could be easily melted down and used as a material for bullets in case the castle was besieged.
