Karl Johans Gate

This street is the main boulevard of the city; a place where the trendiest brands are situated. Named after Charles XIV John of Sweden, the street runs from Royal Palace towards Oslo's main railroad station and forms one of the oldest parts of the city.

When strolling around, do not forget to look up at the marvelous historical buildings that line the avenue, such as National Theatre and Parliament of Norway.

It is also one of the hippest areas for barhopping, so if you want to experience Oslo's nightlife, this is the place to go. In addition, several parades take place here throughout the year.
