The Lima River is a river, which streams westward from Galicia in Spain) to Portugal, with a length of 108 kilometres.
The source of the Limia is Talariño Mountain at 975 metres above sea level, close to the Paradiña village in the Sarreaus municipality. In Spain, it extends for 41 km and it is known by many regional names such as Alariño, Freixo or Mourenzo, however the official term in Galicia is Limia. It crosses the border into Portugal close to the Lindoso village, crosses Ponte da Barca, Ponte de Lima and reaches the Atlantic in Viana do Castelo.
The Romans identified the Lima with the mythical Lethe.
