Moulin de la Galette

Local nameMoulin de la Galette
Location18th arrondissement of Paris, France

This mill (sometimes referred to as Moulin Blute-Fin), built in 1622, was immortalized by Renoir's well-known painting Bal du Moulin de la Galette. Renoir was not the only one to incorporate it into his paintings, though. Among other artists who were inspired by this mill are e.g. van Gogh or Pissarro.

It is located in Montmartre and it fits perfectly into its calm and romantic atmosphere.

If you decide to visit the restaurant, you can sit either inside or, if the weather is nice, enjoy the outside terrace. The mill itself is however not open to the public.
