This temple is also known under the nickname Ninjadera ("Ninja Temple"). It has no connection with actual ninjas, but it refers to the fact that it used to be equipped with various traps and secret passageways in order to provide a safe harbor for the prominent families in case somebody attacked the city.
All visitors need to apply for the official tour. The tours run every 30 minutes from 9 am to 4:30 pm. It is recommended to make the reservations in advance.
