This circular medieval tower stands guard over one of the four most important gates in the historical Nuremberg city wall - the Neutor gate.
Built in 1377, the three-part gate used to be the only path towards Frankfurt and Fürth. The name of the Neutorturm literally translates as the Neutor tower.
