Nocera Superiore is a town and comune in the province of Salerno in the Campania region of south-western Italy.
It was the location of the ancient city of Nuceria Alfaterna.
In other respects its history, up until 1851, is in common with the adjacent Nocera Inferiore: the two towns share a common origin.
