Nice's oldest still-standing quarter has much to offer even to today's visitors. Just as fun during the night as it is during the day, the old town bustles with life. When visiting, do not miss the chance to pick a gift or two at one of the old town's many markets.
The district, looking the same today as it did 3 centuries ago, exudes a typically Mediterranean atmosphere. Visitors can take a stroll through the colourful historic buildings sprawling on both sides of narrow, winding streets.
There are also multiple churches and plenty of small stores selling souvenirs to browse through. For those still not fed up with shopping, there is a flea market held every Monday, a flower market, a fish market as well as a food market.
