Together with other Palm Islands in Dubai, this enormous palm-shaped complex is the largest man-made island in the whole world and is also one of Dubai's most famous landmarks. Palm Jumeirah is the city's centre of shopping and fine dining. It also offers a number of luxurious hotels and residences.
Apart from that, there is a vast area of greenery in the Al Ittihad Park where more than 60 tree species can be found. Those who love jogging can enjoy a 3.2 km jogging track situated there. If you travel with kids, you can spend a lovely afternoon on one of the island’s beaches or in the Aquaventure Waterpark.
If you want to visit the islands, jump on the Palm Monorail which runs along the trunk of the palm, starting at Gateway station and finishing next to the Atlantis hotel at the top of the palm. If you want to see the complex from a bird's eye view, you can either be lucky and spot it from the plane or purchase a helicopter tour. Another option is to visit the observatory of Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel.
