About 600 meters long, this boulevard is one of the most beautiful places to take a stroll in the whole Madrid. It's lined with trees and interesting sights such as the magnificent Neptune's Fountain. It is also listed among the Spanish Property of Cultural Interest by the Spanish government.
The boulevard has a rich history dating as far back as the 16th century. Even today, it serves as something of a cultural hub, with several art galleries located near it.
The easiest way to travel to or through the boulevard is by bus, with several bus stops located all across it. There is also an exit of the metro line number 1, called Atocha, at the southern end of the boulevard, and an exit of the metro line number 2 at its opposite end.
