Nested in a 123-meter-high rocky cliff, this is probably the most haunted castle in Slovenia – beautiful during the day and absolutely creepy at night.
The cave has a deep abyss where tortured prisoners were thrown to die. It also features a secret natural shaft which was even enlarged to provide supplies in the time of the siege and a hideout for long-lasting robberies.
Twice damaged by earthquakes and settled by robbers for several centuries, the fact that it is a haunted place with quite a long violent history is not even surprising. But still, would you spend a night in this spooky castle devoured by rock?
