Saariselkä is a village located in a mountainous area in northern Finland. It is a popular tourist destination, providing activities such as skiing, hiking and a spa. It is located in Northern Lapland and belongs to the Inari municipality.
Saariselkä is partly in Urho Kekkonen National Park. Soil in Saariselkä is mostly 2 billion-year-old granulite. The last ice age ended 9500 years ago in Saariselkä. Saariselkä village is about 300 meters above sea level. Kaunispää-fell, next to the village, rises to 438 meters.
