This neighborhood used to be an autonomous village until it became a part of Barcelona in 1921. It is a lovely residential area with beautiful villas, close to Collserola.
Walk along the streets and enjoy the serene atmosphere of this district. Visit Sant Vicenç church, Pedralbes Monastery and take a trip to Tibidado and the Sagrat Cor Cathedral. Your children will appreciate an afternoon in the science museum CosmoCaixa.
The night life is not that busy as in the city center, but Sarria boasts many wonderful restaurants. It's definitely worth visiting to see the "real" Barcelona.
