Covering 14,750 square kilometers in the Mara and Simiyu regions of northwestern Tanzania, this national park is famous for its magnificent scenery and wildlife. The area is home to supposedly the largest population of lions in Africa, African leopards, Tanzanian cheetahs, Nile crocodiles and many more animals. It is also known for the annual migration of a vast number of herbivores, such as wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras. No wonder the national park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
