The airport is considered Moscow's main airport, although there are three airports in total that serve Moscow. It's located about 30 km from the center of Moscow.
There are currently 5 terminals that serve the airport, Terminal B, Terminal D, Terminal E, and Terminal F. Terminal A handles business and private aviation only, whilst Terminal C is being reconstructed. There's also a complex called Aeroexpress that has its own facilities though it doesn't work as a terminal as there are no gates. The other terminals include a variety of lounges and restaurants, though there's a lack of children play areas that can only be found in some of the lounges.
There's also the History Museum of Sheremetyevo which has unique historical exhibits and projects on the development of the airport.
