Sommocolonia is a hilltop village in Barga, Lucca, Italy. As of 2018, it had a population of 22. The village was heavily damaged during World War II, where it was the site of a battle between the Wehrmacht and the African American 92nd Infantry Division. The village's population gradually decreased from the 1930s onward.
