Szczaniec is a village in Świebodzin County, Lubusz Voivodeship, in western Poland. It is the seat of the gmina called Gmina Szczaniec. It lies approximately 11 kilometres east of Świebodzin, 39 km north of Zielona Góra, and 60 km south-east of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The village has a population of 1,473.
