Trenčín Castle was built in the 11th century as a way to protect and watch over the important trade routes leading from other countries to the country. Now it houses exhibitions about the history of this place and the times when the castle was built.
You can see The Love Well - the legend says it was dug by a Turkish noble who wanted his lover Fatima back. She was held prisoner by the castle's lord. There's also a dungeon and other historical building within the castle's area to visit.
