Universal Studios in Japan is one of only four theme parks the studios own across the whole world. Inside it, you will be able to see dinosaurs from the Jurassic Park, walk through the Hogwarts Castle or drink a butterbeer at an inn taken directly out of the Harry Potter movies, get frightened at in a Jaws-themed zone, or choose to visit Spider-Man at his ride.
Unfortunately, the park is usually extremely crowded. There are queues for all attractions, be ready that the wait for one attraction could take as long as 3 hours before you get to the end of the line. It may be helpful to arrive at the park before the opening hours so that you can get into the individual attractions early. You can skip the lines altogether if you pay for a Fastpass.
On a more positive note, despite the crowds, the park tends to be kept very clean and the staff usually understand at least a little bit English and are very polite and helpful. There are lockers ready if you want to put your belongings away for the time being.
The park opens between 9 am and 10 am and closes between 6 pm and 10 pm (depending on season). Be sure to check the official website for a specific date.
