Viggiano is a comune in the province of Potenza, in the Southern Italian region of Basilicata. It is bounded by the comuni of Calvello, Corleto Perticara, Grumento Nova, Laurenzana, Marsicovetere, and Montemurro.

Viggiano is known for migrant street musicians who have brought their music to Italy and worldwide through the centuries, as well as renowned for the construction of harps. Many Viggianesi had the opportunity to play in many symphonic orchestras in Europe, United States and Australia.
