Vișeu de Sus is a town in Maramureș County, Maramureș, Romania, located at the confluence of the rivers Vișeu and Vaser. It administers one village, Vișeu de Mijloc. It has an area of 443 km2 and a population of 15,000. It is best known for the Mocăniță.
