Casa Taga

The House of Taga is an archaeological site featuring prehistoric latte stone pillars. These massive megalithic structures originally served as the foundation for an ancient Chamorro house. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and represents a significant historical landmark of the island's cultural heritage.

Local legends and folklore associate the structure with Taga, a mythological chief. According to these traditions, the chief used the massive pillars as the base for his residence. The site provides a physical example of prehistoric megalithic construction used by the Chamorro people.
