Fichtel Mountains Heritage Trail

The Fichtel Mountains Heritage Trail connects the historical landmarks of northern Bavaria and the neighboring Czech border. This collection features medieval fortifications like the well-preserved Burg Hohenberg and the ruins of Waldsteinburg, alongside religious sites such as the Protestant St. Johannis church. The trail also highlights smaller heritage markers, including the Royal Saxon Triangulation station on Ochsenkopf and numerous stone crosses that document the region's centuries-old cultural and archaeological landscape.
