Magway Region Essentials

Magway Region is home to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Bagan, featuring over 2,000 ancient Buddhist structures. This collection highlights the architectural evolution of the Pagan Empire, from the 11th-century Shwezigon Pagoda to the soaring Thatbyinnyu Temple. Beyond Bagan, the list includes the 19th-century Yoke Sone Kyaung in Salay, famous for its intricate teak carvings, and the Shwe Sett Taw Pagoda, which houses two sacred Buddha footprints along the Man River.
