Alpine Huts and Shelters

This selection features the primary mountain huts and shelters across the Krivánska and Lúčanská sections of the Malá Fatra range. It includes Chata pod Chlebom, the highest-altitude hut in the region at 1,423 meters, and Chata Vrátna at the base of Veľký Kriváň. These sites serve as essential trail junctions and overnight refuges for hikers traversing the main ridge, offering year-round facilities, dining, and emergency shelter.

Chata Vrátna

Mountain hut situated at the end of the Vrátna valley at an altitude of 740 meters. It sits at the foot of Veľký Kriváň near the lower station of the cable car to Snilovské sedlo.

Chata pod Chlebom

The highest mountain hut in Malá Fatra, located at 1,423 meters. It operates year-round and is a primary stop for hikers on the main ridge trail near the Chleb summit.

Chata na Grúni

Located at 970 meters below Poludňový grúň, this hut serves as a major crossroads for hiking trails connecting the Vrátna valley with the mountain's main ridge.

Chata pod Suchým

Chata pod Kľačianskou Magurou

Situated south of the Kľačianska Magura summit, this hut provides a rest point for hikers ascending from the Turiec basin toward the main ridge.
