Parks and Gardens

Saint-Raphaël’s public gardens range from the expansive Jardin Bonaparte, overlooking the Old Port, to intimate squares dedicated to historical figures like Alphonse Karr and Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. These green spaces feature Mediterranean flora, commemorative monuments, and panoramic views of the Estérel coast. Many, such as the Square du Poussaï, are situated near the shoreline, providing shaded retreats between the town's beaches and urban center.

Jardin Bonaparte

A 20,000-square-meter public park built atop a parking structure overlooking the Old Port. It features Mediterranean plants, a children's play area, and panoramic views of the bay. A statue commemorates Napoleon Bonaparte’s 1799 landing in Saint-Raphaël.

Square du Poussaï

A small coastal garden located near the Port du Poussaï and the Dramont landing beach. It offers shaded seating and views of the Île d'Or.

Jardin d'Arménie

A memorial garden located along the Promenade René Coty. It features a traditional Armenian Khachkar (cross-stone) monument dedicated to the Armenian people.

Square Alphonse Karr

A central urban square named after the French writer and journalist who popularized Saint-Raphaël in the 19th century.

Square Saint-Exupéry

A public park named in honor of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, the author of The Little Prince, whose family had strong ties to the neighboring village of Agay.

Jardin public de l'Oratoire

A quiet public garden located in the Boulouris district, characterized by Mediterranean trees and its namesake oratory.
